Frequently Asked Questions

Can the Waiheke Bench be used as a standalone garden seat?

Absolutely. While sized to match our dining tables, its rust-proof aluminium frame and Sunbrella cushion make it a durable standalone piece. Its lightweight construction allows it to be easily moved between a dining area and a sunny garden nook.

How does the "tied" cushion handle extreme wind?

The cushion is secured via multiple heavy-duty fabric ties to the aluminium slats. While this prevents the cushion from blowing away in standard wind, we recommend bringing the cushion inside during storm warnings to avoid excessive strain on the ties.

Is the seat height comfortable for standard dining?

Yes. The Waiheke Bench is designed with a specific frame-plus-cushion height that matches standard dining chairs. This ensures that guests sitting on the bench are at the same eye-level and ergonomic position as those in chairs.

Will the powder-coating scratch if the bench is moved frequently?

The aluminium frame is finished with a high-grade, impact-resistant powder coating. However, we recommend lifting the bench rather than dragging it to protect both the frame and your patio surface from abrasive scratches over time.
