Assembly requirements vary by product, with only some items requiring minimal assembly. We also offer a full-service delivery, including assembly and waste disposal, for an additional cost, available in Auckland only. How long does outdoor furniture delivery take?

While Design Concepts provides local Auckland and nationwide delivery, our time frames depend on your location and the type of furniture you've ordered. For standard orders within metropolitan areas, delivery may take between 1 to 2 weeks and even longer for rural locations. Please communicate any special delivery requirements at the time of ordering. We also recommend checking your access points to ensure a smooth delivery process.

Can I keep the outdoor furniture outside year-round?

Absolutely. We design our outdoor furniture to withstand year-round outdoor exposure and provide lasting enjoyment. Our rust-free frames ensure structural integrity regardless of weather conditions, while our specially treated materials resist UV damage, fading, mould, and mildew. Many of our products feature quick-dry foam and a free drainage system, which makes them easy to maintain and prevents moisture buildup. To give you added peace of mind, we offer a 5-year warranty on our fabric.

Do the armrests fit under a standard height dining table?

The Epsom is designed with a standard armrest height of approximately 65cm to 67cm. This allows the chair to tuck under most outdoor dining tables, helping to save space on your patio or deck when the chairs are not in use.

Will the stackable design cause scratches to the lower chairs?

No. The chair is engineered with specific stacking points that prevent the polypropylene surfaces from direct abrasive contact. However, to maintain the matte finish over many years, we recommend ensuring the chairs are free of grit or salt spray before stacking them for winter.

Does the polypropylene seat get "sticky" or uncomfortably hot in summer?

The UV-stabilised polypropylene has low thermal conductivity compared to metal or glass. The matte finish and ergonomic curves allow for better airflow than flat plastic chairs, ensuring the seat remains comfortable even during long lunches in direct sunlight.

Is the chair heavy enough to stay put on a windy balcony?

While lightweight enough for easy repositioning, the Epsom features a wide leg stance and solid moulded construction that provides good stability. For very exposed high-rise balconies, tucking the chairs under the table during gale warnings is recommended.
