The Sinka Bit is designed to provide just enough ballast to counteract wind drift without affecting the buoyancy of your Poolboy float. It keeps the float "moored" in a specific area of the pool so it doesn't end up trapped in the skimmer box.

No. The Sinka Bit attaches to reinforced loops that are integrated into the seams of the Poolboy range. These points are specifically engineered to handle the tension of the weight without straining or tearing the Olefin fabric.

While the materials are resistant to chemicals, we recommend removing the Sinka Bit and the float when the pool is not in use for long periods. This prevents the buildup of calcium or algae on the attachment hardware and extends its lifespan.

Because the Sinka Bit is non-absorbent and detachable, it does not hold water against the float. We recommend detaching it when pulling the float out to dry, as this allows you to stand the bean bag on its side for faster drainage.
