Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Corner Section provide lumbar support for two people simultaneously?

The Tasman Alu corner is designed with an angled back-frame that allows two people to sit "in" the corner at the same time. The plush back cushions overlap slightly to provide continuous support and comfort for both users.

How do the corner cushions stay upright without a side-arm?

The corner back cushions are specially shaped to lock against each other and the aluminium corner frame. Their weight and the high-friction Sunbrella fabric prevent them from slipping or falling, even in breezy outdoor conditions.

Will the Matte powder-coated frame show scratches more than teak?

Aluminium powder coating is highly impact-resistant. While it won't "weather" like teak, it is a hard surface. We recommend using the provided clips to prevent the sections from rubbing together, which ensures the matte finish remains uniform.

Is the corner section heavy enough to not move on a windy day?

Once connected to other Tasman Alu modules using the heavy-duty clips, the entire sofa becomes a single, heavy unit. The corner piece acts as the "anchor" for your L-shape, ensuring the configuration stays stationary even on exposed decks.
