How does the Vertigo 50 handle high-wind locations?

As a suspended fixture, the Vertigo 50 should be installed with a high-tensile security cable or a rigid mounting rod (model dependent). Its circular, open-top design is aerodynamic, but we recommend removing the unit if gale-force winds are forecast.

Is the external finish resistant to salt-air "bubbling"?

The Vertigo 50 is manufactured from high-grade aluminium or stainless steel with a specialized industrial powder coating. This prevents the oxidation and bubbling often seen on indoor lighting fixtures that are repurposed for outdoor use.

Can I change the light "warmth" of the LED inside?

If the unit is configured with an integrated LED, the colour temperature is typically fixed (usually a warm 2700K or 3000K). However, if it uses a standard bulb fitting, you can customize the mood by selecting a bulb with your preferred Kelvin rating.

Does the hanging structure require a professional electrician?

Yes. Because the Vertigo 50 requires a secure structural fixing and a hard-wired electrical connection, it must be installed by a registered electrician to ensure it meets New Zealand and Australian safety standards for outdoor lighting.
