Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Paraflex Umbrella attach to the wall?

The Paraflex uses a flexible arm that mounts directly to a solid wall or post with heavy-duty bolts. This unique design removes the need for a heavy base and central pole, maximising your usable floor space.

Is the Paraflex arm wind resistant?

Designed in Belgium for variable weather, the anodised aluminium arm is robust. However, like all umbrellas, it must be closed and secured in strong winds to prevent damage to the arm or the wall mounting.

Can I remove the canopy for winter storage?

Yes. The Paraflex design makes it simple to detach the canopy from the arm for winter storage. Storing the fabric indoors during the off-season will significantly extend its lifespan and keep the colours vibrant.

Is the material resistant to rust and corrosion?

Yes. The arm is constructed from anodised aluminium and stainless steel components. This ensures it is highly resistant to rust and corrosion, even in the salt-heavy coastal environments common in New Zealand.
