Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Fluid Concrete Technology look like "real" concrete?

Yes. The material is a composite that uses natural stone and mineral components to achieve the exact texture, weight, and cool-to-the-touch feel of traditional concrete. It provides the industrial aesthetic without the brittleness and extreme weight.

Will the marine-grade rope fray if I have pets that scratch at it?

The rope is made from high-tenacity synthetic fibres designed for harsh nautical use. It is highly abrasion-resistant and is not easily frayed by pet claws; however, we recommend discouraging pets from using it as a scratching post to maintain the finish.

Is the pot thick enough to resist cracking during a hard NZ frost?

Yes. Fluid Concrete Technology is engineered with high tensile strength. Unlike traditional concrete, which is porous and prone to "spalling" in freezing conditions, this composite is resistant to moisture ingress and can handle freeze-thaw cycles without cracking.

Can the Stitch 50 be used for fruit trees?

The 91cm width provides ample volume for the root systems of most dwarf or medium fruit trees. The material is non-toxic and inert, ensuring no harmful chemicals leach into the soil, making it a safe choice for edible gardening.
