Does the saucer prevent "deck staining" from pot runoff?

Yes. The primary function of the saucer is to catch water and fine soil particles that leach out of the pot. By preventing this runoff from sitting on your timber deck or stone tiles, you eliminate the permanent tannin or mineral stains that usually form under pots.

Will mosquitoes breed in the standing water of the saucer?

If water is left to sit in the saucer for long periods, it can attract insects. We recommend emptying the saucer periodically or using "pot feet" inside the saucer to lift the pot slightly, allowing for better evaporation and airflow.

Can the saucer handle the weight of a fully planted 600-series pot?

Yes. The saucer is manufactured from the same high-density polyethylene as the planters. It is designed to withstand the significant vertical pressure of a pot filled with wet soil and large plants without cracking or deforming.

Does the saucer colour perfectly match the Modscene planter range?

Yes. Because the saucers are made from the same raw pigment batches as the pots, the colour match is identical. This ensures a seamless, architectural look where the saucer appears to be an integrated part of the planter design.
