Opito Single Sofa

No. The Opito uses a high-tenacity, UV-resistant rope with a specialized core designed to maintain its tension. Unlike natural fibres, this synthetic rope is engineered for the outdoors and will not stretch or become loose even with frequent use in high-sun environments.

The synthetic rope is manufactured to be smooth and soft to the touch, similar to a textile cord. It does not have the rough or splintering qualities of natural rattan, ensuring it is safe for delicate fabrics and comfortable for use even without a shirt or cover-up.

Because the rope is non-absorbent, stains generally sit on the surface. You can clean the weave using a soft brush and a solution of mild soap and water. For deep cleaning, a low-pressure hose will help dislodge dirt from the gaps between the weaves without damaging the internal aluminium frame.

The Opito frame is constructed with a wide, stable base to distribute weight evenly. While it is a lightweight armchair, the low center of gravity ensures it remains grounded. For slightly uneven ground, the leg glides provide enough surface contact to minimize wobbling.
