Frequently Asked Questions

Can the Heatscope Vision be mounted vertically on a wall?

The Vision is specifically designed for horizontal mounting (either on a ceiling or high on a wall). Vertical mounting is not recommended as it affects the convection cooling and the heat distribution profile of the SCHOTT glass front.

How does the glass front affect the cleaning requirements?

The glass front protects the carbon heating elements from dust and salt air, making it much lower maintenance than open-grilled heaters. Simply wipe the glass with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive glass cleaner when the unit is cool to maintain its sleek appearance.

Will the 3200W model trip my residential circuit breaker?

A 3200W heater draws approximately 13-14 amps. While a standard 10-amp circuit cannot handle it, most modern NZ homes have 15-amp or 20-amp outdoor circuits. We recommend having your electrician verify your circuit capacity during the quote process.

Is the heat from the Vision series "blown" by the wind?

No. Unlike gas patio heaters that heat the air, the Heatscope Vision uses medium-wave infrared to heat objects and people directly. This radiant heat "cuts through" the wind, providing consistent warmth even on breezy evenings.
