Frequently Asked Questions

Is the tubular frame hollow or solid?

The Glenorchy uses heavy-gauge, hollow-core aluminium tubing. This provides the industrial "thick" look and immense structural strength required for a premium sofa while keeping the weight manageable for easy repositioning on your deck.

Will the "industrial" frame feel cold against the skin?

The main contact points are covered by plush Sunbrella cushions, which act as a thermal barrier. The powder-coated finish on the arms also feels significantly "warmer" than bare metal, ensuring a comfortable experience even on cooler evenings.

How does the frame handle being dragged across concrete?

The Glenorchy is fitted with oversized, heavy-duty glides to protect the tubular frame. However, due to its substantial size, we recommend lifting the sofa to move it. This prevents the powder-coating on the base from being worn down by abrasive surfaces.

Do the deep cushions require regular "fluffing"?

The Quick Dry Foam used in the Glenorchy is high-density and engineered to hold its shape. Unlike feather-filled indoor sofas, it provides a firm, supportive sit that returns to its original profile after use without the need for daily maintenance.
