Frequently Asked Questions

How does the curved teak fin base handle moisture at ground level?

The A-Grade teak fins are naturally oily and water-resistant. The base is engineered with small gaps between the fins to ensure maximum airflow and drainage, preventing moisture from being trapped at the bottom and ensuring the wood dries quickly after rain.

Will the stone-look top crack if a heavy object is dropped on it?

The top is made from a high-density concrete composite or reinforced stone material designed for impact resistance. While extremely durable, it is a masonry product; we recommend avoiding high-velocity impacts with heavy metal objects to prevent surface chipping.

Does the table require a two-person lift to move?

Yes. Due to the solid stone-look top and the substantial teak base, the Egmont is a heavy luxury item. A two-person lift is required to move it safely and to avoid putting lateral stress on the fin joints by dragging it across a patio.

Is the stone top sealed against food and wine stains?

The surface is factory-sealed to provide initial protection against spills. To maintain this resistance, we recommend re-sealing the top once a year with a standard stone or concrete sealer, especially if the table is used frequently for outdoor dining.
