Does the extension mechanism require lubrication?

The Avon uses a high-grade stainless steel and aluminium tracking system that is designed to be maintenance-free. We recommend periodically clearing any dust or grit from the tracks with a dry cloth to ensure the "pop-up" leaf continues to operate smoothly.

Is the 3-metre extended table stable enough for heavy platters in the centre?

Yes. The table features reinforced internal bracing specifically designed to support the 3-metre span. The extension leaf is structurally locked into the main frame when deployed, ensuring there is no "dip" or instability in the centre of the table.

Will the "pop-up" leaf be a different shade of teak if it is mostly stored?

If the table is teak, the internal leaf will remain golden while the main table greys off in the sun. To maintain a consistent look, we recommend leaving the table extended for several days each month during summer to allow the leaf to weather at the same rate.

Can I use an umbrella in the centre of the table while it is extended?

Most Avon models do not feature an umbrella hole in the extension leaf to ensure structural integrity and a clean look. We recommend pairing this table with a cantilever umbrella for the most flexible shade coverage when hosting large groups.
