Does the aluminium frame colour match the Tekapo sofa mast perfectly?

Yes. We use a standardized powder-coating palette (Matte Black or White) across the entire Tekapo range. This ensures that the coffee table and the sofa frames are an identical colour-match for a seamless, high-end look.

Is the teak slat top "flush" with the aluminium frame?

The teak slats are designed with a slight recess or a flush-mount fit (model dependent) that accounts for the natural expansion of the timber. This prevents the wood from "rising" above the metal frame during humid New Zealand summers.

Can the table handle the weight of a heavy fire pit or gas burner?

The Tekapo is engineered with a reinforced aluminium sub-frame to support the teak top. While it can easily handle standard serving platters and drinks, it is not designed for the extreme concentrated heat of a portable fire pit.

How do I remove moss or lichen from the teak slats in winter?

Lichen can grow in damp, shaded areas. We recommend using a specialized teak cleaner and a soft-bristle brush. Avoid using a pressure-washer, as this can "furr" the wood grain and damage the soft fibres of the teak.
