Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Teak Shield and Teak Protector?

Teak Protector is used to maintain the timber colour. Teak Shield is an invisible protective layer that acts as a stain repellent, preventing food and drink spills from penetrating the wood grain.

Can I use Teak Shield on my indoor furniture?

Yes. It is excellent for indoor teak dining tables as it prevents greasy finger marks and food spills from staining the timber while maintaining the wood's natural breathability.

How often should I re-apply the Teak Shield?

For outdoor tables exposed to rain, we recommend applying it a few times a year. For indoor tables, an annual application is usually sufficient to maintain its repellent properties.

Will Teak Shield change the appearance of the wood?

No. Teak Shield is almost completely invisible. It will not change the colour of the wood or leave a shiny film, allowing you to preserve the natural matte look of the timber.
